Space Camp

 

Atlantis Research presents a week long Space School at Space Center Houston, with Level 9 tour to Johnson Space Center, Houston and meeting with astronauts and space scientists & Engineers

 

Space School is designed to take the students through a challenging week-long exploration of their own engineering talents.  Focus is on teamwork, problem solving, communication and adaptation to unexpected problems.

 

The students of the Space Center Houston’s Space School will find themselves on an engineering mission to create the means to land a rover on the surface of Mars, analyze rock samples with a Reflectance Spectrometer, loft a rock sample into Martian orbit, and return back to Earth in a rocket of their own design.

 

Further visits would include to Kennedy Space Center, Universal Studios and Disney World in Orlando, Florida

 

Space Camp from Atlantis Research is an 11 Day, 10 Night educational extravaganza
with 6 days in Houston and 5 days in Florida. This unique camp is designed to provide participants knowledge about the latest developments in space research through visits to Nasa’s Kennedy and Johnson space centers, interaction with scientists and astronauts and more. The camp also provides a fun element with visits to Universal Studios and Disney World in Florida.

Kennedy Space Center

Space School is designed to take the students through a challenging week-long

John Glenn, Neil Armstrong, Sally Ride and Jim Lovell are just a few names of the brave men and women that have launched into space from Kennedy Space Center, and now it’s your turn to become a part of the space program.

   

Universal Studios

Disney World’s Epcot

Journey with your friends through five remarkable islands where all your favorite myths, legends, comic books, cartoon heroes and children’s stories come to life on the most innovative rides and attractions ever created.

Disney World’s Epcot is an ever-changing, always entertaining world of discovery where you can explore the wonders of the universe and cultures from around the globe.

 

Eligibility and salient features of space camp

  • Students with basic understanding of Newtonian Physics and Algebraic Math
    Ideally 13 to 19 years of age
  • Max. group of 30 students
  • 2 Teachers can accompany the group if all students from the same school
  • At least 4 month advance booking
  • All Students get participating certificates from Space Center Houston and Atlantis Research
  • All students will receive a book on the Martian Rovers, a copy of the first color picture taken from the surface of Mars and rover stickers
